numero uno! wooooots~

phewwwww weeeeeeet! hehe

do visit a chiropractor if your chronic back pain persists. just to make sure that your central nerve system is not injured... =)

Hi Andrea

Love the pic of you on the feature.. you glow :)

Anonymous said...

Perhaps your back pain is due to you wearing the wrong heels? Usually tall people tend to have it.

Anonymous said...

A, good to see you always have your Ventolin with you. But have you since gotten the Respocort Autohaler that I'd mentioned last time? Of course you needn't carry that one in your bag cuz' it's a regular thingie you can puff once a day at home.

Anonymous said...

why is that most pretty girl have asthmas? fann wong/sammi/andrea.

Andrea Fonseka said...

Blackat: Actually apparently my spine isnt entirely straight. That's what the chiropractor said anyway. but it could be the heels too eh?

Scorp: Yep I have the Simbicort one actually. Doc (the 75 year old one Adelin and I were talking bout) said that its the same same. ;) But still got my ventolin around just in case.

anon: i dunno la. lol. but its actually very very common, and induced very much so by stress. so maybe its not the pretty girls, but the very the stressed out girls? ;)

adelin said...

andrea: how you spending your weekend? in spore? :)

the latest DOND dancing advertisement, only girl noticeable is andrea.
1.opening the $250k box with other girls around her.
2.andrea dancing.

Anonymous said...

(A) I'm sorry I kept ribbing you about being "fidgety" on DOND. I hadn't realised you had back pain... :(

(B) They ACTUALLY call it a "puff" in the article?

(C) I'm glad you "don't like" Spears. You had me worried for a second... ;)

(D) How come I keep JUST missing you online? :P

Anonymous said...

But, as we saw with the black dress, it's a nice back...pain or not. ;)

Anonymous said...

PPP...

That's the smile that makes me go "korkor" on her. :) It looks even BETTER on paper (something was lost in the scan). But you should see it in real life... :O

Blackat...

I actually thought the same things. HEIGHT and HIGH HEELS working in tandem...

adelin said...

andrea: do you prefer live shows or pre-recorded one?

you always get stressed up? by shows? or exam?

i dun have asthmas but during my poly days, when i noe i can do well for an exam, 1hr b4 exam, i will cough really badly(as if coughing my heart out) and i can't eat anything.
but the last 2yrs of U days is okie.

Anonymous said...

Adelin...

You get worked up when you KNOW you can do WELL? What happens when you REALLY worry?

Andrea Fonseka said...

Path: Actually ya hor, its an "inhaler". :) And I didn't say I like or don't like: I said "i'm not a fan". But I totally respect her, I think she's doing the best she can being in her situation, and the press is not cutting her any slack at all.

Adelin: I want to sleep till Sunday. ;P heh.. I've had a harsh week, just dawned on me that I've been working three weekends in a row, meaning i've not had the chance to relax. So sad right? lol. Thankfully this weekend I can chill.

I'm already exhausted now, going to bed all. nitey nite.

Andrea Fonseka said...

And just for the record:

Thank you CK, for pointing out that I didn't upload as many pictures as before. I now really make the effort to make this blog more, er, 'visually appealing'. ;)

Anonymous said...

hi andrea!i think u look really great!!stay slim n attractive!
and btw,can u give me some motivation/advice to work out?
i really need to be fit n healthy but i'm a tad lazy.=(

adelin said...

Path: that is my problem, during these days, i will have sudden mental block. I noe i can get at least a A but wanted to get AD. so....... end up....

if i noe i cannot make it, scare or stress also no use.

andrea : appreciated the effort.
i love picture blog esp yours.

sleeping till sunday, Lol, okie will wait patiently for ur next update/comment.

Friends, lets us see when andrea will wake up.

adelin said...

andrea: no time to relax? busy & stress!?! busy is good that means you are needed/in demand/have lots of work/popular/earning $$$.

dun be sad okie, i think most prefer having work & being stress than having no work and bored.

Just try to relax ur mind, go for MF-ing, spa, massage etc....

i totally understand, in my previous job, it is everyday 9am-6pm, 6pm-12am. Totally no life. on time reply friends emails or meet up with them. even i manage to reply, my friends will say things like adelin is alive.:( i realised i'm missing out on a lot of things.....

Anonymous said...

I FINALLY catch you online (not counting the tennis match)! :D

"And I didn't say I like or don't like..."

I don't know if you're aware that my quote came from the article...I concede that it didn't sound like you. :P Don't worry...the "pufffinder" doesn't quite trust that particular article. ;)

Sweet dreams, princess...

Hey Andrea. Thanks for always being so prompt in replying our posts, mine at least. Or maybe I'm lucky? *ponders* Because the first time I posted a note, you replied the next day! And the 2nd time I posted, which was yesterday, you replied the next day again! Maybe I'm being too full of myself here, but I feel lucky! Haha.
Glad to hear you're not quitting school! Cause if not...it would really be a waste of all your past efforts! But I must say, your showbiz career is in tandum with the property prices in Singapore at the moment, SKY HIGH! Just look at the number of covers you are on! The MOOLA must be stacking up well eh. Haha.
On your back pains, I think it's quite a common thing among women isn't it? But I agree with the rest that it may have something to do with your constant heels-wearing. Also, posture is very important. Like in the Urban picture, that's not good posture, you're slouching a little. K, sounding like an ah-ma again. Haha. Take care, rest well and enjoy your precious weekend!

Andrea Fonseka said...

Puffinder: well considering the fact that I talked in that interview for two straight hours (easy peasy, I manage to never be able to stop talking bout myself sometimes. HEh. Joke, btw.) She had to shorten everything up.. and the 'essence' of what I said was that I didn't quite like britney. :) but not crudely said, like that, thats all.

M: Yes you thinking too much. hehehe I answer things and questions I see fit, which shows that you ask smart questions. ;)

Adelin: if you dont mind me asking, how old are you now, and what're you doing?

Actually, how old is EVERYONE here, and what are you guys doing for a living? I always believe that we should help our friends, be it emotionally, and even economically, when we can. The greatest, most successful people are the ones that make use of their contacts. And its not 'using' one another in a bad sense at all. If can, help. If not, have a beer lah! y'knowwhatimean?

To anon: Eh. I also need motivation sometimes to work out.. But i think for me its 'easier' so to speak. My job requires me to look 'presentable'... heh. So its a requirement and prerequisite for me to ensure that I am fit enough to slouch over like I do in this pic, and not look half bad. ;)

adelin said...

andrea: sorry for the late respond, have to attend an event this morn(8.30am-1.30pm) yawn.....

dun mind lah.
i am older than you hahhaha but not wiser or taller or smarter...

i am in finance & accounting field. kekeke hope you dun mind, i emailed you the details.

hmm, you toking abt networking & friends support? hmm i have read somewhere that the best job are found thru networking. so nowadays i also tell myself to talk more to people in these conference etc but realised i am quite bad at networking. hahahaha.

A, I sent you an e-mail on 18th May 2007 with my little bit of info. In your blog entry dated 22nd May 2007 you'd said:

"I would like to thank all of you who sent me emails, they're very much appreciated. I will be replying them slowly, cannot do all one shot lah I'll get a hand-cramp. Thank you for being patient with me. :) "

Yeah I continue to await your reply and you're welcome for my being patient with you. :)

As for your questions here: how old am I? Refer to my e-mail, and you'll be able to calculate, using Singaporean standards.

What do I do for a living? Refer to the e-mail as well: plus I'm telling ya now I took the path MUCH (not less) trodden after graduation, and you'd know...

(A) I pretty much figured that's how the Spears thing happened. Even DIRECT quotes on the front page...are not. People just don't talk like that. TOO much "cleaning up", however, goes on...

(B) The slouch is a model "thing", isn't it? ;)

(C) I'm not sure I want to present my CV here. :P We're not ALL public figures, you know? :) You have mail...

(D) Sweet dreams, pretty one...although you'll probably be reading this in the morning! ;)

Love your simplicity and how real and not bratty you are. Glad ur not one of those people who blow off hundreds and thousands on a Gucci handbag. These celebs that have too much money would do much good if they donated that money to charity rather than buy a handbag they're only use until the next fashionable thing appears.
I was just wondering. You don't have a wallet/purse in your handbag?! and no hp?! that's odd...of is that just 7 of the many things in your bag?

fazzy said...

oh btw, my sister says yoga is good for the back. but i guess you shouldn't try it until you're much better. poor thing. what kind of work out exactly were you doing when you hurt your back? weights?

Anonymous said...

=) I ask smart questions huh? Haha. That's a nice complement to hear. For all you know, I'm wrenching my brains to come up with that slightest bit of "witty-ness". You are a LAW student, I daren't show my prudeness in front of you! Haha. Speak in broken English, *push button, tannnzzzzzz*, I'm out. Say silly things, again I'm out. So yayy! I haven't been doing those!

Here's my next "smart question". Haha. Do you stay alone? Don't you get bored and feel empty when you head home and all you see is an empty nest? Or maybe you don't have the luxury of time to be feeling these emotions? Haha. Because, due to your hectic schedule, whenever you do reach home, you just crash.

33 years young. corporate raider wannabe in the day and stand-up comedian in the night. hoping to morph into king of sparta some day, ruling my own little isle somewhere out there... =)

just for the record:

thank YOU, A! for making the effort to upload more pictures and photos in your blog, i can see that i'm not the only one who appreciates the visual treat. anyhow, my apologies for being such a visual creature... i am guilty of being Male! ;)

since there is a very remote chance of you and i helping each other emotionally and economically (re: your married men "indecent" proposals that you so often receive, as per your mentioned in your previous interviews.. haha), how about grabbing that BEER of yours? i hear that beer is very good for solving back pains!!! =)

Anonymous said...

CK...

When A brought up beer, she also mentioned that she doesn't like it.

Anonymous said...

CK...

And you won't be ruling an "isle" as king of Sparta... ;)

adelin said...

hi andrea : heard that onion and ginger can relief pain, try to eat more onion and ginger. Lol :D

Anonymous said...

A, the stuff I sent you about me...could you keep it to yourself?

I really don't want people finding out I'm a secret agent for the Confederated Republics of Alottalotta Poohpoo, or CRA...never mind.

Wait...did I just let the cat out of the (Guess) bag? OOOOOPS, I did it again. (Spears reference was just for you, A.) :O

Andrea Fonseka said...

Path: Pleaase lah U think I'll go around telling the whole wide world you're an amazingly sexy man always full of poohpoo? (oops did I let the cat out of my *gucci* bag??) hehehe

Faz: I *have* bought an expensive handbag before... but just to let you know it was at a massive smassive sale I cant remember where.. I think it was Australia.. or something. lol. Just did a recent Style interview whereby I had to hunt for it cause they wanted to talk about my (branded) bags!! really had to dust that one out!! heh.

Anonymous said...

A, are the contents of your bag, as described in the article, the same when you attend lectures/tutorials/seminars? Or do you dump stuff for all that in your mailbox? Wait, does Law Fac still use student mailboxes these days?

Anonymous said...

hey, i'm 31, married & in d family way, expecting little Dazarea this Nov. Shopping for pretty pink, wif shugger and spice and everything nice (:

btw, i read architecture in school and am currently running a small little do with 2 others. Struggling a lil but making progress (i hope). (:

Ok enuff bout moi lah. I think it may be gd that each of us disclose a lil about ourselves so as to add a lil more personality behind the moniker?? (:

Anonymous said...

owtn: you did archi? Wow. So are you a QP now?

Anonymous said...

andrea..where did u get yr eyebags concealer from? and how much is it? i need help...i think my eyebags are so huge that it looks like a turn off when i look at the mirror. :(

love, amanda :)

Anonymous said...

scorpie:- yuppers!! it's mandatory as ppl's lives largely 'depend' on it. (:

anon:- in addition, you may wish to have adequate shut-eye (ZzzZzz)for the prevention of eyebags rather than just concealment. (:

bbbbbbut concealer is jjjjust fine.. (*nervous grin*).. i'll leave A to reply on that one
...juz being a k-po (as usual)

(:

Anonymous said...

path: uh-huh, must have missed that part about A not liking beer. thanks for the tip! i'll try to keep that in mind.

as for isle, i'd like to morph into the sparta king (physique-wise) but rule an isle filled with cute huskies running all over the place... heheh. i hear that you can buy/lease an island for as little as USD100,000 according to some island brokers that i came across on the internet. not unlike the ones that richard branson and peter allen bought... NOT! =)

p.s - can someone tell me how much did the DOND "sharted" contestant win last week? i missed that episode (again) due to work..... :(

Anonymous said...

I figured you wouldn't, but discretion IS the better part of valour...just thought I'd reinforce the point. :)

And you don't have to tell anybody I'm amazingly sexy...it IS pretty obvious. :O I am, however, going to (selectively) quote you on that one! :O SORRY, you can't take it back. It's like chess...something you enjoy, I believe? :)

Luxury goods (including handbags) should not be acquired as a matter of course...then they wouldn't be a luxury. There's nothing wrong, however, with the occasional splurge in Australia. ;) Regular acquisitions, however, can (and should) be made in the pursuit of a collection... :)

Anonymous said...

OWTN...

You're a woman? :O You're expecting? :O Congrats...I adore kids! :D

I thought about architecture...after I graduated. :( It's one of the few creative AND "respected" things you can do here.

As for disclosure, I think people here have had enough of my "personality" as it is... ;)

Anonymous said...

CK...

(A) Don't forget us when you're king. :) As A says, you must keep your feet on the ground!

(B) Unless you're drawing a parallel with A's animals, I don't get the thing with the CUTE HUSKIES. Did you mean CUTE HUSSIES? :) Ruling an island of those would be...something.

Anonymous said...

Speaking of the Confederated Republics of Alottalotta Poohpoo...

There's a military unit, DEEP RECON for the PARATROOPERS of the FOREIGN LEGION...cream of the cream of the cream. Basically, it was called the COMMANDO RENSEIGNEMENT ACTION PROFONDEUR. It's not called that anymore...you figure it out. :)

Anonymous said...

(: haha PF, u got me there. The last time I checked (which was around 9.25am), still very male leh.

each of us have our own path in life to thread...you just have to find that path. Juz hoping you've found it and happy at what you're doin.. that's the most important. (:

Anonymous said...

path: again, i must have missed that...but one thing i do know is that reality is subjective. one man's ground is another man's heaven and vice versa. just like many people may envy A's and thinks that it is a piece of heaven what she is going through now but you know what? it could be very far from the truth.

not so sure about being grounded cos alot of great entrepreneurs and successful people i know did not achieve what they did by being "grounded". on the contrary, they were commonly labeled "crazy", "nutcase", absolutely impossible, etc..etc. some may say that A is not being grounded by choosing to ditch law as a career and to pursue a dream in the entertainment industry, esp. in a small market like singapore... :)

as for the isle of hussies...hmm, now THAT is what i call a worthy pursuit!!! haha.

hmm, since you are already the chief of C.R.A.P....how about i appoint you as chief security, ensuring the security of the Sparta's Hussies Island Trustee project? i shall ensure that there are at least 300 huskies and german shepards at your disposal! ;)

fazzy said...

Yes Andrea, my point exactly. the fact that you had to dig for it shows you don't go around flaunting obscenely expensive handbags which could have fed 1000 people in Africa. good on you! =)

Wah, the modules that are left for the Yr3s to choose this sem quite crappy ah. I also don't know what to take. What are you doing?

Anonymous said...

CK...

I'll have to think about that offer. A already says I'm full of it... :)

Anonymous said...

OWTN...

I concur... :)

Anonymous said...

fazzy: aiyo is it that difficult to choose modules? Fam, insurance, still have vacancies correct? How about the IT (not IP) related subjects? Anyway if you're really stuck, then just ask around who are the lenient or easy-going lecturers who dish out good grades, and take their subjects. :)

fazzy said...

Scorpion: those are second sem subjects...and seniors and exchange students have priorities..we have the left overs and all the good subjects are gone. i REALLY need to pull up my grades so this is pretty important..i think. i don't stress out for no reason..if you think that's why I ask Andrea for advice.
